Falls Lake is a large man made body of water with miles of shoreline. This lake is the main freshwater source for the city of Raleigh North Carolina. The calm deep waters of this lake provide a calm and easy place to paddlesurf. This is a great place to get a core body workout and stay in shape with daily or weekly paddling sessions on the lake.
There is a put in location right on Falls of the Neuse Rd at the dam. The put in has a sandy beach that is about 50 yards from a parking area. All of the pictures were taken from the put in beach.

This lake offers great fishing for white bass and with its extensive shoreline you could get in shape going to your favorite fishing spots.

The Raleigh area has great weather. This photo was taken at the beginning of March. Paddling while standing up make it much easier to get a full body sun tan than a conventional kayak. The board is also 10 feet 6 inches long and make for your own full size tanning bed if you get tired of standing.
